Homemade Fake-Away Crispy And Crunchy Cornflake Chicken Nuggets



Make these baked cornflake chicken nuggets when you need a fast and easy dinner solution. Kids, teens, and grown ups will all gobble these nuggets up. Serve by themselves, with a dip of your choice or chips and veg.

Prep Time 20 minutes

Cook Time 10-12 minutes


Ingredients:


2 Tbsp all-purpose flour

1 Medium free-range egg, beaten

100g Cornflakes

1 Tsp paprika

1 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

500g Boneless, skinless free-range chicken breasts, cut into 2x4cm pieces


Instructions:


Preheat oven to 200C, Gas 6, 180Fan, 400F


Line a baking tray with baking parchment.

Put the flour onto one large plate and the egg in a shallow bowl.


Place the cornflakes in a separate bowl and crush lightly with the back of a spoon. Don’t crush them too much or they won’t have any texture.


Stir in the paprika and Parmesan.

Dip the chicken pieces first into the flour, then egg and then the cornflake mixture.


Place onto the lined baking tray.


Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and crispy


Note:


You can also shallow fry first in some coconut oil, then move them into the oven to finish off and be extra crispy!
